Rockin' Sock
I have been working on my first Rockin' Sock Club sock. It's my first foray into short row toes and heels and I really love the pattern so far. I was really skeptical about knitting a medium weight yarn on such tiny needles because I figured it would feel like walking around in cardboard boxes. They are very sturdy but not stiff like I feared.
The pattern is named "Inside Out" because the socks are reversible. I happen to favor the look of the "inside", which is pictured here.
I haven't gotten much work done because I've been so busy dying yarn. Ever since the mention on Lime & Violet, I can't keep yarn in the shop! This is the best problem I've ever had!

I won! I won!
I won the Show Your Socks contest on Astrid's Dutch Obsessions! I don't know how or why I won, but I won! I got to pick any circular needle or set of DPNs that I wanted for free. I chose a US1/ 40" circular needle. I thought maybe I'd try out this newfangled Magic Loop method all the kids are talking about. If Magic Loop doesn't work out, I could always knit a fine gauge sweater (for an entire year) with them!

Little Miss D turns 1!
My niece turns 1 today! Here's a photo of the poncho I made for her.
I also finished the Monkey socks for my sister!
I've just started my BMFA Rockin' Sock Club socks. Fun so far!

So, now I know!

Gothic Spire is all mine!
I just learned that Cookie A (the Mozart of intricate sock patterns) is selling some of her newer sock patterns on her website. I purchased Gothic Spire and Twisted Flower. Her site is suddenly really slow too. I'm sure the word is out and thousands of women are forgoing their lunches to get in on the action!

Hello Pretty!
This is one of the designs shown in the sneak preview of the Spring/Summer Vogue Knitting magazine. I skipped the last issue because it really didn't have anything I loved. This little number makes up for it! Yum!
