No Harm in Yarn

Can't we all just knit along?

Split Toe Socks? Check!

Done! Done! I'm done!

I just finished the seemingly never ending black Sockotta split toe socks for my Brother-in-Law in Florida! I would never have done this for someone I don't love! They came out better than I thought they would have. Here they are modeled by me, my foot many sizes smaller than the recipient and they haven't been washed or blocked in this photo, so be kind.

Phillip's Split Toe Socks

Now that I've finished my gift knitting, I can work on other projects! I currently have a sweater for my dog in MCY Silk Wool on the needles. When the yarn arrives, I'll start the Myrtle Leaf Shawl from Victorian Lace Today.

Happy New Year!

Weasleys!

They are done! I even made the little hangers for them!

Mini Weasleys

They're knit in Woolease and the initials are done in doubled Knit Picks Essential. My niece and nephew will love them!

I've only to finish the socks for my brother-in-law, and then I'm free to knit anything I want! I'm pretty sure it will be some sort of lace project, because January is usually a nice, quiet, snuggly time to concentrate on something intense. I may also do Cookie A.'s Twisted Flower or Gothic Spire. Ah, to dream...

Let's see...

I have a few finished projects done. I was without internet access for a few days because our 50 year old phone lines decided to disintegrate(they don't make em like they used to), so I have a few. It was good in a way because I really focused on my knitting, instead of looking at other peoples knitting!

C & E Mitts
I knit two pair of fingerless mitts for the daughters of a friend

Sneaker's Sweater
A sweater for my in-laws sweet doggie, Sneakers

I just started "Mini Weasley" sweater/ornaments for my niece and nephew. They are adorable!

I also got a package from my Ravelry Scarf Exchange Pal, Somebunnyslove.

Ravelry Scarf Ex. Loot

She sent a beautiful, warm fair isle scarf in my favorite colors, chocolate so good you need water, a knitting journal, coffee syrup(for milk), and a skein of laceweight cashmere(!). I am so happy! Swaps rock!

Knitting Update

I have been busy getting ready for a Christmas party involving at least 25 people (and some little kids) in my home (!) this weekend, so I haven't gotten much knitting done. I'll post what I have, though.

One LC Sock

One of two orange Log Cabin Socks in Patons Shetland Chunky. This will be the last pair for a while, I swear!

Phillip's Split Toe Socks in Progress

And some black Sockotta socks, in progress. They will be split toe, which I've never attempted. No time like the last minute to learn a new technique!

Good stuff.

Scarf Exchange!

Hello!
Now that my awesome Ravelry Scarf Exchange pal, Alison, has gotten her package, I can safely post photos without ruining the surprise!

Swiss Cheese Cowl

It's the Swiss Cheese Scarf and it was knit with Jojoland Melody Superwash.
I think I used 6US needles and 2 skeins. I have to make one for me someday!
