No Harm in Yarn

Can't we all just knit along?

Well, last time I entered the same paragraph twice. When I tried to get rid of one of them, nothing happened. So at least my words will be drilled into your brain or seem strangely familiar...
I put the Doggie sweater aside to make the Tasha Tudor shawl for my Mom. Her birthday is at the end of the month and she LOVES Tasha Tudor. Now she will have a nifty little shawl like her too.
My next project is a Mickey Mouse sweater for my father-in-law. Its done like a fair isle pattern with litle Mickeys and Minnies dancing across it. He's a Disney nut so... I got it from The Disney Book of Knitting. I've been looking for this book since I checked it back in at the Public Library when I was 18. I found it online recently and bought it. It's definately from the 80's(there are instructions for knitted shoulder pads) but has some great designs.
I bought yarn for a 2nd Sitcom chic sweater. It's the lavender color. I can't remember the official name, but it's pretty. Is it selfish to make myself another sweater?
