I could probably make some like this but I wanted to treat myself (besides all the other kids have it). This is how I am about yarn. There are no surprises here.

What I Did on My Summer Vacation

My husband and I went to Florida for our vacation. We started by driving down to Daytona Beach, which was delightfully free of people (most of the kids had started school). From there, we went to St. Augustine and then to see family in Jacksonville. It was wonderful!

Here is a photo of Icarus. I have finished all but 2 rows of the Chart 1 work. I've placed two life lines. One at the 4th repeat and one at the 5th. This way I can frog back if I run out of yarn.

My husband thinks it looks like a leaf.

This is my first real attempt at hand painting a striped sock yarn. The color isn't quite what I was going for, but its pretty close.
